Quick Start
This guide gives command staff the overall sequence. Detailed instructions and screenshots will be added as each workflow is verified.
1. Sign in and select an organization
Section titled “1. Sign in and select an organization”Sign in using the method configured by your administrator. If your account belongs to more than one organization, confirm the correct organization in the application header before creating or changing an incident.
2. Create an incident
Section titled “2. Create an incident”Open Incidents, then create a blank incident or start from a reusable incident template. You may optionally attach an existing building preplan. Enter incident and command-post details, then save the incident.
Only one incident is normally active at a time within an organization. Additional incidents can be created as drafts.
3. Prepare the operational map
Section titled “3. Prepare the operational map”Open the incident map and establish the operational boundary. Add or import coverage areas, then name and prioritize them. Add map markers and GIS reference layers when needed.
4. Build teams
Section titled “4. Build teams”Open Teams. Create teams, add members, identify leaders, and confirm each team’s status. Generate field links or QR codes for teams that will work without authenticated command accounts.
5. Assign work
Section titled “5. Assign work”Assign one or more outdoor coverage areas or indoor preplan zones to available teams. Confirm the assignment summary before deploying teams.
6. Track the operation
Section titled “6. Track the operation”Monitor area and team status from the incident map, statistics, activity, handoff, and deployment-status views. Operational statuses distinguish unassigned, assigned, in-progress, completed, needs-revisit, blocked, and cancelled work.
7. Close or hand off
Section titled “7. Close or hand off”Before a shift change, review the handoff view and print or save the required operational reports. Pause, close, or archive the incident according to local procedure.
