Field Team Guide

Field teams normally open a team-specific link or scan a QR code supplied by command. The field view can show the assigned area, navigation aids, building preplan information, command-post directions, and location-sharing controls.

Before leaving

Section titled “Before leaving”
  1. Open the link on the device that will travel with the team.
  2. Confirm the incident and team identity.
  3. Review the assigned outdoor area or indoor zone.
  4. Confirm that mapping and navigation load on the device.
  5. Enable location sharing only when directed and permitted by local policy.

During work

Section titled “During work”

Use the field controls to report the current work state and follow the displayed assignment. If conditions prevent completion, use the applicable blocked or needs-revisit workflow and communicate the reason to command.

Section titled “Link safety”

A field link is an access credential. Do not post it publicly or forward it beyond assigned personnel. Report a lost or exposed link to command.
